Brian when asked about major DIF between himself & JANE he quoted "abortion". He passionately stated his feelings that every abortion is a tragedy and he opposes ever criminalizing the process. Brian considers himself a rare bird, a GREEN republican. Just retired fr: Boeing (aka Hughes Space & Com) as a physicist w/ a doctorate in super conductors, Brian is finishing "Law School" in June and makiing a second run to send JANE HARMAN home. Mr. Gibson is great believer in science to create additional technologies to utilize solar instead of burning coal to create electricity. Using this NET clean electricity to create hydrogen 4 fuel cells to power cars. Every & all additional convertions of clean electricity to extract from water the hydrogen & oxygen is a net gain for the economy & the environment. The democrates have no monopoly on good enviormental intentions. The GOP has the economic agenda 2 make it feasible & viable. Especially under a McCAIN administration.

Late Edition with Wolf Blitzer, Harman responded to Pelosi's decision:
I am not angry. It was her choice. Obviously, I had hoped to stay. I thought I'd earned it and that it had been promised. But I think Silvestre Reyes is an excellent choice. He has my support. I'm going to stay in the game on these issues. Here I am, Wolf. But I also think that her majority is created by moderates and conservatives who won in Republican seats who talk tough and smart on security issues. And I will help them stay in Congress and help keep our majority in 2008.[3]

During the 2006 takeover of the House, Jane Harman was inline for the Chairmanship of the Intelligence Committee. Nancy Pelosi passed over her and placed Reyes as the head of the Intelligence committee.
